1. Overview

  1. Six-a-side is a browser game in which you manage a club of Zuorghs and compete with other managers in the worldwide SaS league system. You can set up tactics, buy/sell players, promote juniors, take care of club’s finances, play league matches twice a week and learn the game by playing friendly matches anytime you want.

  2. You start the game with a team of 9 mediocre Zuorghs, a small stadium and some amount of money. Your task is to grow your club, lead it into the top league and ultimately win The SaS Championship. However, don’t forget to make friends along the way in order to have more fun here.

  3. Money is important and we strongly recommend not to spend all of it on the very first day playing the game. Try to figure out what is the most significant in SaS first.

2. Competitions

  1. League
    1. You start the game in the lowest league level. Your aim is to win as many matches as possible and try to promote up to the top league.

    2. There are 32 clubs in each league group and you play 1 match with each opponent during a season. 3 clubs promotes and 13 clubs relegates. Clubs are sorted by: points, goals difference, goals scored, money and a registration date (a “younger” club takes better place).

    3. There are additional promotions: 1 per each 4 groups (1 from League 2, 4 from League 3 etc.) and there may be extra promotion spots in case of managers retirements from the game. What’s more, all bot clubs above you will start the next season below you.

    4. There are also additional relegations: if you have a negative balance after the last league match of the season, you relegate, no matter of your league position at the end. In this case the top club from last 13 takes your place and don’t relegate. So be careful with your finances.

    5. There are 2 league matches played on every Wednesday and Saturday at 20:00 and 21:00 CET. Remember to set up your tactics for both league matches until 19:00 CET each league round (1 hour before the first match starts - you won't be able to do it between the first and the second match). 1 season lasts 8 weeks.

  2. Friendlies
    1. You can play friendly matches whenever you want.

    2. There are two ways of playing a friendly match: a direct challenge (which can be sent via any club page) or “Play now” button (in this case you search for an opponent in real time and play a match immediately).

    3. There is a limit of friendlies: you can play at most 20 matches a day.

    4. This limit is based on CET time, so it is neutralized every day at 00:00 CET.

3. Matches

  1. You need to choose 6 Zuorghs from your squad and set up tactics for each match. You can save your setups to make it easier for you.

  2. There are 26 different positions on the field and you can set up only 1 player per each position.

  3. There are also plenty of additional options: club instructions and players instructions (with and without ball). You should definitely test them all and learn as much as you can about SaS Match Engine.

  4. Take a closer look on a pressing you choose. The more aggressive game, the better results, but the more form players lose after a match (it is not applied to friendly matches)

  5. You can choose to play Match of The Season only once per season - your players will perform better in such a match.

  6. You can set up tactics for each match in the next 4 days (8 days if you are the supporter).

4. Players

  1. You can have maximum 12 players in your club.

  2. Skills
    1. Your players have 5 main skills: Goalkeeper, Defender, Playmaker, Striker and Winger. These skills determine how a player performs on a specific position. However, there are 2 most important skills on each position (both skills have equal importance)

    2. Position name Skill 1 Skill 2
      Goalkeeper (GK) Goalkeeper Defender
Defender Left (D L) Defender Winger

Forward Left (F L) Winger Striker
Forward Left Centre (F LC) Striker Playmaker
Forward Centre (F C) Striker Playmaker
Forward Right Centre (F RC) Striker Playmaker
Forward Right (F R) Winger Striker
    3. Remaining skills are important for all positions - you need to find out by yourself what’s the best for your club.

    4. Players will lose some skills a bit during a season reset.

  3. Training
    1. You can train your players twice a week, after each league match day.

    2. You can train all skills, except experience and form (several factors influence these 2 skills, you need to watch them very closely).

    3. Younger players gain skills faster (except stamina and form - these skills are gained equally for all players).

    4. After each league match all players lose a bit of stamina. The older player, the more stamina he loses.

    5. Some skills are limited: stamina and form (limit 20), experience (no limit), remaining skills (limit 100).

  4. Every player has a speciality, which affects his performance under the certain circumstances. There are 9 different specialities:
    1. Fast (usable for all players).

    2. Strong (usable for all players).

    3. Enduring (usable for all players).

    4. Intelligent (usable for all players, but mostly for playmakers).

    5. Offence (usable for strikers and wingers).

    6. Defence (usable for goalkeepers and defenders).

    7. Precise (usable for all players).

    8. Experienced (usable for all players).

    9. Inexpensive (usable for all players, doesn’t affect a player’s performance, only his wage).

  5. There are 2 kinds of wages
    1. Basic wage - based on player’s skills.

    2. Current wage - this is a wage you pay after each league match. It can be increased if you buy a player and offer him a higher wage than he expects.

  6. Contract
    1. You can sign a contract with a player for 1 to 31 league matches.

    2. When a contract expires (and is not extended) a player leaves your club for free.

    3. You can sign up to 2 contracts with a player at any given time.

  7. Age
    1. Players will age after every season.

    2. At the age of 23 players will start to lose their skills - the older a player, the more skills he lose.

    3. At the age of 31 all players decide to retire.

  8. Total Skills Worth (TSW) is an indicator of how skilled a player is. It is based on skills and it increases with training.

  9. A nationality of your players is a nationality you chose during the registration. It can’t be changed.

5. Transfers

  1. There is a transfer market twice a week, 1 day before league matches (Tuesdays and Fridays at 19:00 CET).

  2. You can make offers all the time between market days, so there is no need to be online at a certain time - you always have a few days to make a decision.

  3. You can make maximum 6 offers per market (if you have free players slots in your club).

  4. A bid on a player contains
    1. Transfer amount (no more than 10*Asking price, not applicable to free agents).

    2. Contract length (1 to 31 league matches).

    3. Wage (no upper limit, so be very careful).

    4. Public/private offer.

  5. Generally, the higher bid, the more chances you get a player. There are a few transfer tactics you need to discover.

  6. A player is a bit more willing to play at a club from the same country.

  7. Other managers will see a public offer immediately (without contract details), but won’t see a private offer until 19:00 CET on the market day.

  8. There is a charge for putting a player on the transfer list (1% of a transfer fee).

  9. There is also a charge for a successful transfer (5-20% of a transfer fee, deducted after a transfer). The longer a player stays in your club, the less % you pay.

  10. You can’t terminate a player’s contract or put a player on the transfer list on the market day.

  11. You can terminate 1 contract per 24h.

  12. Termination a player’s contract costs half of the money you would pay him until the end of his contract.

  13. Free agents
    1. They are players without a contract - you can make them an offer and sign without a transfer amount.

    2. When their current wage drops to the level of their basic wage and nobody signs them for 1 season, they retire, no matter of their the age.

6. Juniors

  1. You can promote a junior once a week.

  2. There is no luck or random factor in SaS - juniors promoted in different clubs have exactly the same skills.

  3. Base skills increase every league match in order to reduce the difference between an “early season” junior and a “late season” junior.

  4. The older a junior is, the higher his base skills are.

  5. The higher base skills, the more you pay for a promotion.

7. Finances

  1. Like we said, money is important, because if you finish a season with a negative balance, you relegate. You need a bit of wise planning in SaS.

  2. Almost every action you take here costs certain sum of money - you will be informed about details during playing the game.

  3. When you’ve got a negative balance you can’t:
    1. Train your players.

    2. Make offers on the market.

    3. Expand your stadium.

  4. The better your results are, the more money you earn. There are 4 ways to earn money in SaS
    1. Tickets income (after each league match).

    2. Sponsors income (after each league match).

    3. Selling players.

    4. Bonus for taking part in all 31 league games in a season:

  5. There is the seasonal tax during the season reset. Managers will get taxed on money over 200 000 000 $ at a rate of 33%. For example, if you finish your season with 250 000 000 $ you would pay 16 500 000 $ in tax at the end of the season.

8. Stadium

  1. This is an important element of your financial plan. We suggest to expand your stadium as much as you can.

  2. There are limits of expansion - the higher league, the bigger stadium you can build.

9. Forum and mailbox

  1. The official language of the forum is English (we will introduce national forums in the future).

  2. Not only forum, but SaS as a whole have a set of rules of behaviour. We reserve the right to ban managers disobeying undermentioned rules from using the forum, the mailbox and, in the worst case, from playing SaS.

  3. Using rude or offensive language and insulting other managers is strictly forbidden. Impolite or inappropriate behaviour of any kind is unacceptable.

  4. No political or religious discussions.

  5. No attacks on a specific nation, religion or person.

  6. No advertisements or referral links of any kind. If you want to talk about other games, websites etc. that may somehow profit from your actions, contact Administrators first.

  7. No spamming, trolling, bumping forum threads and writing pointless or unrelated to topic posts.

  8. No discussions about illegal products or services (software, torrents, live streaming, etc.).

  9. No cheating accusations (if you see something unusual or have any suspicions, contact Administrators).

  10. The Moderator’s or Administrator’s decision is final.

  11. Associations forums are a bit more private and a final decision belongs to forum moderators in each Association, but the forum etiquette mentioned above is still required.

10. Miscellaneous

  1. Multiple accounts (MA) are strictly forbidden. There can be 1 account per player and 1 player per computer/device. If we find a MA, we reserve the right to delete all accounts involved without further notice.

  2. Inactivity - you can lose your club in case of not playing league matches. It is checked at the end of each season and your club will be deleted if you miss:
    1. 4 last league matches (if your club played under 5 league matches).

    2. 8 last league matches (if your club played 5 to 8 league matches).

    3. 12 last league matches (if your club played 9 to 16 league matches).

    4. 16 last league matches (if your club played over 16 league matches).
